New Layout!

Okay, I've got your new layout up, and I think it's splendiferous. Kudos to Zarla for inking Edgar and Nny so I could make the background look less bad and more neat!

Anyways, I'm going to post the month's challenge later on today *crosses fingers*, and I hope you guys find it challenging enough to do.

I can assure you it will most likely be something you'd never think to do on your own.

Okay, so, any complaints about the new layout? It's meant for 1024x768, but I'm going to check it out on 800x600 and see if there's a big difference.

Wheeee! First challenge. Now, y'all are being awwwwwfully quiet, so I figured I should try and make you guys post stuff, because otherwise this group might DIEEEE.

So, anyways, from July 6th until August 6th, we will be accepting entries to the MIGHTY JULY CHALLENGE. The challenge is in two parts - one for those who want to write, and one for those who want to draw. Same basic idea, different executions.

For the Writers!
--> Write a fanfic (any pairing) using at least three references to a Beatles song. In conversations, in thoughts, in songfic-form... any way you can fit them in. The more creatively you do this, the better. The fic must be at least 100 words, but no longer than a normal chapter of Vargas. If you end up (for some strange reason) writing a chaptered story, only the first chapter can be submitted.


For the Arteests!
-->Similarly to the writing challenge, draw a picture with at least one reference to a Beatles song. If you can do more, that's really cool, but I know how hard it can be to fit in too much into one picture. The only thing is, you can't just draw any old picture and scribble some lyrics along the side - NO! The reference has to be visual. If you have lyrics in it, cool, but there has to be a visual reference.

You can enter into both contests, but you can only enter into each one once.

Okay, so. The prize is... well. I was talking to Lady Yate-xel, and she gave me this idea. (Because she's a genius, you know.)

Everyone who's willing to do a prize picture/fic/whatever, please let me know. At the end of the challenge, we'll have a little poll, and the winner can choose between those people who offer stuff. I'll list them in this post later. Then, the winner of the next challenge can pick another person who didn't get chosen last time.


I don't think I'm forgetting anything... So post, leave a comment and tell me if you'll be willing to do a prize (anything you want to do is cool). Oh, and if you have any questions, just ask!
